Just got my acceptance letter today. They said I need to make my decision by May 1st. I believe I am still going to attend NYU Puly but man these guys dont give you much time to think.

We got our acceptance on March 29th.

Ya I am a military veteran and a transfer student so I think it took a little longer to process and evaluate the application. I love Stevens and Hoboken but I still think that NYU Poly is right for me. I am still debating though.

blankwall,

Sounds like you’re confused. Did you visit both campuses? Talk to students at each?

You can’t go wrong at either, but I prefer the setting of Stevens over NYU-Poly.

Im currently in Cali I cant visit either due to financial constraints. I have been to Stevens before. I have a good friend who went there but the rest is phone conversations and here say. They both sound like incredibly difficult schools that help you prepare for the future.

One good thing about Stevens is that you can be pretty sure of getting housing as long as you apply by the deadline. It’s much cheaper than if you were to get housing on your own. Rents in Hoboken (and NYC) are pretty crazy.

Stevens is also good about providing academic support. They want you to do well.

hi blankwall. we’re also from Cali and also received solid offers from both NYU-Poly & Stevens. We visited both schools a couple of weeks ago during Spring Break -NYUPoly in the morning & Stevens in the afternoon. We were sold to NYUPoly until we visited Stevens campus later that same day. NYUPoly facility is good (dorms in 18-story bldg), academically-sound, students & staff were very nice but it’s in the middle of a busy city (you’d say being at Costco in North Hollywood on a Sunday afternoon-like though kids may like that!) in sharp contrast to S campus. The Co-Op program in S is also attractive (much like in Drexel where we got offers as well but didn’t visit). Our impression is that NYU-Poly only focus on internships.
