any transfer students get accepted yet?

im currently attending rutgers and applied to maryland march 1st. anybody else in same situation and got some kind of notification?

depends when you submitted your app, it's first come first serve I think.

Yea, I found out like three weeks ago, it was through the mail though.

When did you have your app. in Para? Had mine in Feb. 28 and have heard nada.

I heard on Friday from UMD, I was accepted into my second major which is mathematics. I was not accepted to Operational Management because I do not have all the prereqs, I called UMD and spoke with a CSR who’s primary motive was to get me off the phone ASAP. What I retained from the conversation was that if I complete the prereqs I can reapply to the school of business and will be accepted with a grade of 3.0 or above. In reality I would like to speak to a student advisor and will be making an appointment. I live in NY so it's not to convenient for me to drive down just to verify this information, but they said I can not speak to an advisor on the phone and must make an appointment. UMD is one of my top choices for the management curriculum so I will give it my best shot.

newyork-- in case you weren't aware, this happens to a LOT of people. plenty of freshmen admits aren't directly admitted into the business school. taking the required classes and transferring in is realy common.

if i were you, i wouldn't waste my time driving from NY to MD to try and argue myself into the business school.

Hey,

My objective is not to argue my way into the SMG lol, I want to meet with an advisor to see my options, what classes I will need to take before I can reapply and a ton of other questions. I am currently studying at a CC in NY and this is a big leap for me. I want to make sure everything is how it should be.

BTW I am a transfer student not a freshman.

ah, gotcha. i probably should've read the title of the thread :)

So where is everyone staying?

yeah i have so ssend in my spring grades sinec i only had 15 creds when applied, anyone get housing? im prob gonna have to get an aprt

If you are a transfer you are most likely going to have to find off campus housing, I know I will. They have a ton of literature on off campus housing as well as a website dedicated to the subject. When I find it, I will post you the link.
