Just got my acceptance letter today too. Admitted into the Leavey School of Business. Very excited.

Oh and if people want to know stats they are 3.8 UW and 1330 SAT.

Congratulations to all who have received EA acceptances. I remember how excited my daughter was when she received her acceptance in 2005. She loves SCU. If anyone has any questions...feel free to ask. She is very willing to answer, and I would be very willing to give the "parent perspective". The school has more than lived up to our expectations.

D received her EA acceptance today too -- but waiting on aid information now...

where are y'all from to hear already? I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my letter!!

I am in San Diego.

Also accepted - I'm up in Washington state, so not too far.
When the envelope came, it was open. Santa Clara like forgot to seal it, wow. Hahahaa.

Oh - just to make sure, since mine was open - I have a question for those that were accepted. Did your envelope just include the letter itself and a magazine-like book that reads on the cover "YOU'VE BEEN ACCEPTED - Become a Bronco: The Next Steps"?

Please let me know if I'm missing anything! Thanks!

Accepted to the Leavey School of Business. I'm from Washington St. too.

Stats if interested were
3.66 GPA and 1830 SAT

I was also accepted today in WA state. I am in the Leavey School of Business as well.

Stats:
3.4 GPA and 1540 SAT

Deferred. Oh well.

CA resident
3.77W GPA
1700 SAT

We live in Bay Area - 35 miles from SCU. And yes the package contained a single-page letter and a brochure "YOU'VE BEEN ACCEPTED"

I got accepted (yesterday!) into the School of Engineering. I'm from Marlyand.

Stats, if you're interested:
GPA: 3.74 (uw) / 4.00
SAT: 2270 -- 800 (M), 740 (R), 730 (W)

Did anyone else get into Engineering? What're you going to study?
I'm thinking either Mechnical or General with a Bioengineering focus.

I got my acceptance letter this afternoon to the school of engineering as well. I'm thinking about mechanical.

I applied early to the school of arts and sciences. Should I be worried if I haven't recieved my letter yet?

anything can help!

thanks

Was anyone admitted with distinction? The letter said info would come out this month, but can you still get a merit award if you weren't admitted with distinction?

Admission with distinction was not determined on the SCU early admissions acceptance letters. You will hear more later in January, once the Regular Admits have been reviewed and SCU decides who to give money to, and who to invited into the Honors program.

Did you learn this from the SCU Admissions office?

That must be a new policy. When DD got admitted EA, the EA admits knew in their letter of acceptance whether they had been admitted with distinction. It was on the letter. If it was NOT on the admit letter, it meant that you did not get admitted with distinction. Of course, things do change....but why would this change? In the past, EA accepted students also got an estimated financial aid award end of Feb beginning of March or so (because they filed a Profile by the priority date). Is that still true?
