<p>So, I got merit aid from American University, but when I log into my.american.edu and I click “Financial Aid: Accept My Award Package”, I get a “System Error Detected”. Am I supposed to wait until a later date to accept my merit aid? I have this horrible feeling there was some sort of mistake and the merit aid wasn’t supposed to go to me. :/</p>

<p>If you are worried, you should call the financial aid office. </p>
<p>I would not be worried quite yet because AU's website/ my.american.edu has been a little funky lately. I think this might be because AU's new website will become live at the end of this month.</p>
<p>Hi. Okay, thanks, I just called them and the woman at the financial aid office said that I don't have to do anything for merit aid as it is automatically accepted. That made me feel better, but when I told my mum, she didn't believe the woman (lol) and now she's making me second guess myself.</p>
<p>I'll ask around here and on AUlink to see what others have done with their merit aid. Thanks, again.</p>
