Accidentally Dropped Class

Well I was fixing my schedule and bam... I clicked the wrong course and stupidly confirmed to drop my math 16b course -.-... we just took the midterm so the grade is on bSpace (along with quizzes, etc...). If I add it back tomorrow morning, do you think the system will retain my grades?

Someone reply, I’m so paranoid -___-!

I think so. Email your professor/GSI and tell them too, just in case.

It should. I did this during a summer session once (though it wasn’t actually accidentally - shhhh, don’t tell them!) and they were pretty understanding. My assumption is that they chalk this up to alcohol.

Drunk schedule tweaking…
It is like butt dialing your iphone?

Ok I emailed him but still haven’t got any response… this is the last day to add/drop class. Should I re-add the class even if he doesn’t reply to my email? What if I add then he refuses to manually re-add my grades -___-? Should I be worried about this?

Go to the prof’s office in person and get it straightened out today.

Alright I emailed my GSI and he said just re-add the section to see what happens. I think he could easily re-add my grades since some GSIs don’t even use bSpace!

it’s not like once you drop the class, your grades are thrown into the trash. just add the class back …

it’ll be fine. enjoy the long weekend in peace. :)

Even if you did drop the class and never readd it, I’d expect them to retain grades in a backup for a certain period of time before discarding them.
