I really don't know how this happened, but I misreported one of my AP scores on the Common App and was accepted ED this year. I only recently realized after withdrawing other apps and I was wondering if anything can happen to me or if the college just looks at the final AP score report when I send it in later on? Please let me know.

I am assuming that the score is higher than you actually got. A 5 instead of a 4 is no biggie I bet. But a 5 instead of a 3 or 2 is a difference. Tough one, but if you took a bunch of APs and the error is only on one of them, then “turning yourself in” might look responsible.

Not sure you should worry. I’d guess your housing work drew their attention, on top of the other stats.

So I shouldn’t say anything?

They are not going to look at your common app AP scores to assign credits for the classes. However, it is possible they will compare your actual AP scores to those reported on your common app. I have no idea what will happen if they find the difference after making that comparison. You still haven’t said the difference between the two scores, but if it is a difference of more than 1 or it is in a key area for your admitted school, you might have a problem. I really don’t know.

You could probably just contact admissions about the mistake. I’m sure they’ll understand.

I talked to someone on admissions and they said that they just look at the final AP score report for credits and don’t look at the Common App anymore so I think I am fine.
