account refund setup

Do you have to accept your loans before finishing the account refund setup? Which one would you recommend, having the funds go to suntrust or as a check? I'm pretty certain I'll choose the suntrust option.

The Suntrust option is the fastest way to get your money.

Suntrust makes the most…only sense.

The SunTrust option, because you get your money the day they say (or at least, I always have). It’s so much easier than waiting for a check, going to your bank and depositing it.

That said, if it wasn’t for convenience (I live within 10 minutes of 4 SunTrust banks, plus their location on campus), I wouldn’t choose SunTrust by a wide margin.

^^ Care to share?

When class starts on a Monday, add/drop ends on the fourth day–Thursday at midnight. Friday is when Bright Futures, loans, and other things post, and refunds are sent to Suntrust. The funds are there to spend the next business day, in this case Monday. Checks are received by Thurday or Friday, 3-4 days later, usually at your home address.

My D uses Suntrust, uses the internet banking along with the debit card and checks, and had never had a problem. When she inadvertently bounced her first check, she went to the on campus branch and they reversed the charges. She never bounced a check again. She liked using her FSU card as a Suntrust Debit card freshman year, so she did not have to carry an extra card around. She frequently roamed campus with just her FSU card and her room key and she was set.
