accurate PSAT predicitons??

Hey, I've seen and heard quite a bit on CC about a person's PSAT scores, and how their SAT's actually turned out, usually a big difference it seems. So I thought that I'd be pretty interesting if people posted what their PSAT's were, and what their actual SAT scores ended up being.

p.s. forgive me if this has been brought up in the past

Psat: 196
Sat: 199, 198

it's been done a couple times before.
I went down and never made it back up.
PSAT junior year: 203
SAT junior year: 1970
SAT senior year: 1990

I didn't study at all for the PSAT, very little for the first SAT but I spent quite a lot of time prepping for the last SAT....

PSAT: 183

SAT (1st) - 1790
SAT (2nd) - 1990
SAT (3rd) - 2140.

I didn't practice for the PSAT or the 1st try on the SAT.

Junior PSAT: 191
Junior SAT: 1940
Senior SAT: 2010
Highest composite SAT = 2030 (I say this number when people ask me how I did. It makes me seem smarter :).)

So for my first SAT vs. PSAT, it was pretty accurate. However, I brought up my Math and Writing a bit on my 2nd attempt (CR went down by 20), and I broke 2000. So I think the PSAT is pretty accurate (at least for me).

PSAT fall sophomore - 172
PSAT fall junior - 192
SAT spring senior - 1880
SAT spring senior - 2150 (with prep)

I always do much better on the PSAT.
PSAT (soph): 223
PSAT (jun): 235
SAT (soph): 2110

Soph PSAT: 222
Jun PSAT: 214
SAT: 2390
If only the PSATs had been switched, I would've gotten NMSF, so it's a tiny bit annoying.

sophomore psat: 155
junior psat: 181
04/06 SAT's: 1840
06/06's SAT's: 1970ish
10/06 SAT's: 2080

it's all about the studying.

"If only the PSATs had been switched, I would've gotten NMSF, so it's a tiny bit annoying."

Who gives a crap, you got a freaking 2390! Congrats on the nice score.

Thanks. It's just that everybody makes a big deal about NMSF and puts them in the paper and they announce them at the awards ceremony, but practically nobody knows my SAT score, so a little recognition would've been nice. Whatever.

Here's several pages of data collected by Papa Chicken. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=145009
In the first post, he also links to the thread from the year before, which contains a lot of statistical analysis.

The PSAT was accurate for me. I didn't study for the PSAT or the SAT either time I took it (stupid, I know.)

PSAT Junior year: 210 (72CR/67M/71W)
SAT 1st time: 2100 (710/680/710)
SAT 2nd time: 2030 (740/630/700)

Psat - 1980
Sat - 2120

PSAT Spho: 156
PSAT Junior: 187
SAT 1st try: 176
SAT 2nd try: 190

PSAT- 197
SAT- 218

So no, PSAT was not accurate for me haha

PSAT Soph: 187
PSAT Junior: 186
SAT 1st try: 1810
SAT 2nd try [with no practice]: 2100

Psat Junior: 206(Don't remember my sophomore score)
SAT 1st try: 1980
SAT 2nd try: 2080

Soph PSAT: 187
Jun PSAT: 230
SAT: 2240

Some correlation I guess.

Junior PSAT: 205
SAT: 2210 (Tiny bit of math prep which only helped my score 30 points...)
