Your SAT score should be higher than your PSAT score, considering the PSAT is supposed to say "this is where you stand, and this is where you need to improve"; thus, the SAT would be the improved score. Or at least in a perfect world, it'd be so.

soph PSAT- 208
jr PSAT- 216
SAT- 2260

PSAT junior year: 226
SAT junior year: 2140
SAT senior year: 2300

soph PSAT: 232
junior PSAT(oct): 240
junior SAT(nov): 2330

Soph PSAT: 202
Jr PSAT: 208
Jr SAT: 2290

PSAT (Junior)- 224
SAT, one shot (Senior)- 2320

PSAT: 220
SAT: 2070

My D had trouble concentrating during the FOUR hour SAT test. PSAT was easier for her.

It seems to me that for people that start taking the PSAT as a frosh or soph, there often comes a point when there is a substantial jump in the score, and the jump comes at different times for different people. For people that have a jump by the time they have taken the jr year PSAT, the SAT scores that follow are fairly close to PSAT performance. For those that haven't had a jump in PSAT, like ibbeatsap above, a substantial jump may be in store.

PSAT-180
SAT-2070

very interesting in my opinion

I took the SAT in October, 4 days before the PSAT.
SAT - 700m, 700cr, 720wr (67/12)
PSAT - 76m, 74cr, 65wr (got very physically ill during the writing section)
2120/215...pretty good predictor for me, now I start the prep...

soph psat- 208
junior psat- 227
junior sat- 2090

Sophmore SAT=2170
Junior PSAT=224 (Breakdown:78 CR, 70 M, 76 WR)
Junior (June) SAT=2240...BUT breakdown: 75 CR, 78 M, 71 WR
Senior SAT=2270, Superscore=2290 (hey, extra points are extra points).

I think that it is interesting that even though I got exactly the same score from PSAT to SAT, the breakdown was totally different. I took the SAT for the third time attempting to raise my WR score...it went down to 700. Luckily verbal went up, or else that would have been a pretty wasted saturday...

PSAT: 223
SAT: 2330 (taken twice)

It was very accurate for me.

PSAT: 230
1st SAT: 2300
2nd SAT: 2370

The subscores did change a little from the PSAT to the SAT, though.

PSAT - 213
1st SAT - 2150
2nd SAT - 2240

Pretty accurate.

psat: 208
sat: 2140

i didnt study at all for the psat, and barely for the sat. but that little bit of extra studying helped a lot.

psat soph 163
psat junior 220
SAT composite 2200

don't ask 'bout psat soph...

psat soph 168
psat junior 196
sat 1st time 2020
sat 2nd time 2190

people getting 200+ on soph psats.. /jealous

I took the PSAT once and the SAT once, without studying for either.
PSAT: 220
SAT: 2230
So the PSAT was a good indicator for me, and the breakdown of the sections was similar as well. If you study for one and not the other, obviously it won't be a good predictor.

PSAT soph: 203 (no prep)
PSAT junior: 224 (no prep)
SAT: 2320 (very little prep)
