Achievements/Awards in High School?

I'm going into my Junior Year this September, and I realized that I don't have any significant Academic Achievements or award recognitions that I have received during my first two years of high schools. My grades generally tend to be pretty good (most above 96), how can I receive an academic award to put on my resume for College? Or any other awards/achievements?

Does your school do National Honor Society? That’s an award/recognition you can put on your application and usually you get into it during your Junior year of high school (at least that’s how it was in my high school).

NHS isn’t very impressive. There are an abundance of competitions that you can enter for awards, from science fairs to FBLA to Olympiads.

A couple awards you can get junior year are National Merit Finalist/Semifinalist and AP Scholar awards. They won’t have a huge impact, but they’re at least something to list.
