So I'm ready to submit my Common App but I've been waiting to see my ACT scores. However, it seems as though all of the scores are being delayed at one particular location because no one I've talked to received their scores yet. I think colleges want everything sent by January 1, the deadline, but I don't know when the scores will be coming! Would it be okay to just sent in my SAT scores but if I find out I did better on my ACT, just send that? Ahhh I'm so worried right now.

Colleges expect for test scores to come in after the application deadline. The official scores and transcripts are ultimately considered, not the self reported scores or GPA. Once your scores are delivered to them, they will update your file. And it would probably be better to submit your SAT scores as well. There’s no promise that you will do any better on your ACT. Admissions will pick the best score and consider it.

thank you! i really appreciate your reply :)
