ACT for Early Decision

When I took the ACT through my school in April, the results came back a lot faster then the time they say online. I am wondering if I take the test on the October 22 date if they will be ready by November 1st, the early action deadline.

Also what about the October 6th sat? Would those be ready in time?

Thanks

I think you may be looking at the 2011-2012 dates. There is no Oct. 22, it’s Oct. 27. I would recommend the Sep. 10 one, that’s what I’m doing and I’m doing ED too. My test scores came back in about 2.5 weeks for the June 2011 test date, which was really fast. As long as you don’t screw up your bubble sheet real bad, the scores should come back in plenty of time.

You are absolutely right! Thanks for the correction. October 27th seems like it would not be enough time to both get the test results back, and send them. That’s only two weeks. It would be nice to get the extra 6 weeks to study thoutgh… oh well.

Do you know about the October 6th sat? I am reading online it takes the sat about 2-3 weeks, meaning that would then give me enough time to send it if they are better.

Yea, Oct. 27 would be a stretch. I don’t have much experience with SAT results, but I would say that would be enough time to get the results back, so go for it if you want.

I took the SAT on June 2 and they came on the 21st, so 19 days. I don’t really remember how long it took for the other times I took it, but if they’re consistant you should be fine

Most colleges don’t require you to send in your test scores as soon as you apply. They usually give you till about December to send in your scores. You should call the specific college though and ask them what the latest test date you can submit is
