If all of you had 73A, I don’t know why you thought reading and science were so hard. Reading was the easiest I’ve ever seen, and Science was pretty easy, too.

@Debater1996 what was hard for you (if anything)?

I thought Math was the hardest on the October section.

Couldn’t finish

Sucks because I had a 36 on Math the last two tests

Probably missed 7-8

Science was the easiest I have ever seen, and Reading was pure garbage. The first passage on the twins made 0 sense and after that, I lost full concentration.

I thought reading and science were ok too (not easy, but not harder than usual), and math and english were harder than normal.

@wasteofusername: same here, got a 36 on math in June, this is my 2nd time and math was wayy worse.

@agg999

I got one, probably two wrong on English (but that is probably it). I found Math to be fairly hard (I was pressed for time), but I felt confident in my answers.

Exactly the opposite for me: I though English and Math were the ones I did well on (including the essay, I guess)… I guess, what stumped me in science was the genetics passage (stupid me, I spent sooo much time on that passage instead of moving along). The reading passages were just weird this time (esspecially, the first one).

I didn’t necessarily think that English was hard, I just know that I got one wrong, and one probably wrong. It really was a stupid mistake, and I switched to the wrong answer from the right one at the last second.

As for math, the question with the shape on the graph I saved for last, but I’m confident that I got most all of it correct.

This is what I expect this time around

English: 34
Math: 32
Reading: 27
Science: 34

32 right there

What I got in September

34
36
32
33

If -10 in Reading can sneak by with a 29, I’ll be happy. If a -7 can sneak by with a 33 (missed like 5 on last year October test, but still got a 35 lol) in Math I will be happy. If a -3 in English can be a 35, I will be happy.

Good for you, then.

The vocabulary questions on the ACT killed me for Reading. Didn’t know what any of the words meant for the remittance question, nor could I decipher the difference between hurdle and hurtle.

@WasteOfUsername

Wait… why did u re-take it? 34 Composite is extremely good and will not kill your chances at MIT, Stanford even…

My mom wants me to get a 36 so she can brag in front of her friends man. I know, I know

But, TBH, on all the practice tests I did this time around, I never got below a 34 in 1 section. Don’t know what happened here.

Anyone have an idea what it takes, ideally, to get into Cornell Engineering?

It really depends on your extra curricular activities. I would say a 34 would put you ahead of a lot of applicants, but to make yourself really stand out would be to have a lot of ECs on there. (Along with a good essay, of course).

I know a friend who got a 28 on his ACT, but got into Brown due to his crazy good ECs (Class president, President of like 5 clubs, 2 Sports, Volunteering, etc.)

Do they come out at 12 EST or CST? I can never remember

They come out at 12 CST

What should I do, if I got a 31 on my first attempt… and say I get like a 29 composite this time around (except this time, I get like a 35 on English (as opposed to 28 on my first attempt) and 35 on Math (as opposed to 33 on my first attempt)… Should I send both test reports to competitive colleges (like Cornell)?

I read another person’s post that stated he’d gotten his scores at midnight eastern time for the last several times.

How many more times do you plan on taking it? Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior?

Why isnt the glitch working ive tried at least 5000 times now opqwrhnpqwenqwklenwqpewhjqpehjwqipehjwqeiopwqhjewipqrbhwuoqrbwo;qirhwrhnwio;qrhnwipqrjnwopqrjwpqrwqhjnrpwqtjnpeqjtopwqrwoqrhjn
