... for Tufts specifically? I sent in my ACT w/ writing and no SATI/SATII combo cause they wanted either one or the other. Esp. with going for engineering, would they like to see the SAT II's more?

If you can pull of a 650+ on SAT Subject tests then send them. That is my opinion, otherwise you should be fine.

Good luck!

Hard question, because you haven't indicated how strong your ACT was, but since you don't sound like you have any intention of taking the SAT Subject Tests, it's irrelevant. You are all done with just the ACT; if you go the SATI route, you would need to take the Subject Tests in either Math Level I or II, and in either Chem or Physics. In addition, unless you have something else about your application that is compelling - geography, ethnicity, personal story, unusual ECs, etc. - I don't think that Subject Test scores under 700 would be helpful.
Are the Math and Science sub-scores on your ACT strong?

i took the SAT I twice, SATII in math 2 and physics, and the ACT. I dunno why im asking about this now cause my apps are all in though haha, but yeah, my sat IIs were under 700 (probably would have been higher if i hadnt taken them the fall after i finished my classes). as for ACT, my math was 31 (my lowest actually) and my science was 35 (cumulative was 34). The sat score were never sent in but they are on my common app, as is my ib physics grade which is much more flattering

What I hate about SAT is that if you bomb one test Adcom still see it and you cannot convince me that they don't notice despite saying they only take the top scores.

S has no idea what happened, but despite having straight A's through five years of latin with two AP (one vergil, one Callius sp?), he truly bombed the sucker. He did perfectly fine on Math II and Literature (not an engineer), but definitely not well enough to want to send all his SAT's unless he has to. Plus, since he did quite fine on the ACT, he mostly doesnt have to.

Of course, he also took three tests at one sitting. BAD IDEA!! Seriously, pass it on.

Send it all. There's no way it can hurt you.

what if we don't send in the act but it's on the transcript, will they look at it the same?

Send in what transcript?
I am not used to seeing ACTs on high school transcripts, but even if they were there, you would need to have them sent directly to the admissions office or they don't count.
