I am planning on taking the ACT in February and I took a few practice tests and got from 27-30 on those. Can I raise my score in these months to around a 32 if I really worked hard on it? Also I have Princeton Review for the prep book, are there any other really good books I can use? Thanks

Get some practice tests... take some practice tests... do well.

Use the PR book and the official book. Two best books out there.

^yeap.....

Kaplan>PR IMO. Barron's, if you want some overkill. And if you need still more practice, get McGraw Hill.

the first time i took the act i received a score of 29 (may, i believe), that was with very little studying, then i studied hard core a week before the june one and received a 32.

i actually then took a kaplan course which brought my score down 1 pt, but then up 2 (33).

so i dont think im a good indication of anything, other than its luck on what questions you get.

what did help me were the real tests that they give and just doing timed tests in a very "real" environment (kaplan courses)
