ACT question...

Ok, I have taken the ACT twice…

April-
Composite: 32
English: 31
Math: 32
Reading: 35
Science: 31
Writing: 8

June-
Composite: 32
English: 31
Math: 33
Reading: 32
Science: 30
Writing: still unknown, most likely better than an 8… I’m thinking a 10.

My questions:

If my “superscore” is a 32.5, will schools consider that a 33 or a 32?

Should I retake in the fall? I was pretty disappointed with getting the same score, but I didn’t really study so I guess I deserved it. If I am applying to schools like WashU and Northwestern as reaches, should I retake?

Should I send both scores to schools? On the first one I feel like i received better scores, but I’m pretty positive I did better on the second writing section.

You round up. A 32.5 is a 33.

Well, you should certainly retake if you feel you can improve. However, a 32 is good enough for those 2 schools. If you're done with just these two tests, then yes, you should send both scores.

Just note that, unlike the SAT, majority of colleges do not superscore ACT scores, including WashU and Northwestern. If you submit multiple ACT's, they consider that test with the highest composite -- which in your case makes no difference.

... I thought WUSTL did superscore????

You are correct, I was going by old info. It apparently started superscoring for freshman of 08.
