ACT/SAT scores

I got an 1850 on my SATs and a 30 on my ACT......
If i sent both of my scores to the colleges i want to go to, will the 1850 affect my chances, or will colleges look at the highest only???
THis is very important because i applied to some very hard schools where a 30 on my ACT will get me in but if they take into account the 1850 i dont think i will.

I applied to UPenn, Brown, Northwestern, UMich, GTech, and Purdue. For the top 3 (UPenn, Brown, Northwestern) the middle 50% got 29-33 so my ACT score is perfect, and the bottom 3 i am sure i will get in with the ACT.

DO i have a chance to get into any of the top 3 if they dont take into account my SAT score?

Any thoughts on this would be nice.....

Don’t worry about this one! They will use the score that makes you look best, because that is also the score that will make them look best.

As far as schools using scores, they have their own means of comparison between SAT and ACT and they only bother using the score that’s highest.

However, scores alone, as I’m sure you know, don’t necessarily get you in. I wouldn’t be so sure about some of the schools you listed.
