ACT scores - to send or not to send

I'm taking the ACT for the first time in Feb 06 (scored 1080 (m-600, v-480) on SAT in 6th grade). I'm in 10th grade now and expect to be taking it again. Is there any advantage to specifying 4 schools to receive the scores when I'm not even sure where I am going - unless of course I ultimately never do better than this time. Surely that would not happen?!
If I don't specify now, how much does it cost to get the scores sent later when I know where I am applying to? Thanks to all for you input..

wait what? do you mean SAT or ACT...1080 is an SAT score. Either way, personally I think it is better to not send the score reports to schools (it doesn't really matter for the SAT, but I still am not sending mine). When you consider that your average app is $50 or more, what's another $5-10 for a score report?

I think that you should just go ahead and send the scores. If you are worried about a school seeing a bad school it doesn't really matter since virtually every college will only consider your highest score. Both times I took the test I sent the scores to the four schools that I was considering at the moment that I registered for the ACT. In fact I only ended up applying to one of the schools that I had scores sent to.
