ACT scoring

How does the ACT score the tests?

At first people seemed to say that it was
36 -0
35 -1...

But after I took the official practice Math section online I noticed I missed 4 math questions but ended up with a 34.

It seemed like they averaged the subscores, and rounded down for math and english and up for the reading. How they could curve the scores could be based off of the subscores and not the section scores.
Do you guys think that they do it like this?

No, there are rare curves like one of the tests I took in june of 09 where:

-0,1 36
-2,-3 35
-4,-5 34
