I'm a senior now and I have been horribly procrastinating on studying for the ACT again. I have taken the ACT twice (30 and 27<-- was a really bad day) and I'm not sure on what I should do next. I feel like if I take my third test in September, I won't do that well but would it be too late to take it in October? and taking both doesn't seem like an option since it seems that colleges wouldn't like to see a student taking the ACT 4 times so I wanted to avoid that. Would colleges only know how many I took based on the number of scores I actually send them? I'm very confused.

You have to send all ur scores. Some let u score choice, but most dont. Three ive heard is the max u should take it before it starts to look obsessive

Well would it be too late for admissions if I were to take the October test instead of September?

For RD, u can take the test as late as january for most colleges.

How can you take tests in Jan for regular admission? Doesn’t application deadline is on Jan 1st?

bella, some schools deadlines are february 1

It really depends on the school, and you have to find out for yourself. You can even email an admissions counselor and/or call

But generally speaking, would it be too late for Early applications?
