Which do you think is better:
SAT- 2040 - CR:750, M:670, W:620 (66, 7)
ACT - 29 - E:29, M:30, R:29, S:27, E:30 (11)

I know the SAT is higher if you compare composite scores, but look at the essays. The SAT essay and the ACT essay were of the same caliber, yet look at the difference.

SAT - 2080
CR: 640 (the vocab killed me for some reason on this test; i've never ever done this low on CR on any of my practices)
M: 730 (2 ridiculous mistakes/questions wrong, 0 omitted....)
W: 710 (5 wrong--never gotten this many wrong on a practice, usually get a solid 1 or 2 wrong total, 10 essay)

ACT: 35 composite
E: 34
M: 33
R: 35
S: 36
W: haven't gotten score for writing yet as I took the writing portion as "stand-by" and they have yet to match my scores (I called to find out why this score wasn't up yet)

thing is, i studied for the SAT's (many practice tests over the course of a few weeks) and barely for the ACT's (1 practice test the night before just to see the format)

basically, I felt the ACT's, on the whole, were a lot more, well, fun. it felt like a challenge to finish the test in time but the questions were far easier (although while the questions are a breeze, the test itself is not).

the SAT--and, better yet, the NEW SAT--just feels a little unfair. the curves are so harsh as of late and even the tiniest mistakes can just destroy your score. however, it seems to be given far more respect and weight overall, and i feel like although i'm QUITE satisfied with my 35 composite, it'd probably feel even better to have a 2350 than a 35.
