ACT vs SAT

hey guys.
i took the sat last january
and i'm planning to take the acts as well
i scored a 29 on my first practice test vs the SATs which i scored a 2050
i noticed the math and science sections were relatively easy and i scored a 35 and 33 respectively on them but for the reading i scored a 29,
so with that being said that leaves my english which was a 20.....
however for the SAT writing I recieved a 700, which is a major difference.

so my question is how do i prepare for the english section when it is so different from the writing section on the SATs?

also, is there a possbility to raise my score to a 33 in just a matter of 2 months?

How do you improve your English section score? Get some prep material and start working through it. When you miss a question, find out why you missed it.

Is it possible to raise your score to 33 in 2 months? Sure, it's possible. Is it realistic? I'd say so, provided you study hard and smart over the next several weeks.

Hit the books!

When I started English, mine was fairly low too (by CC standards anyways) .. with a 25. If you just practice tests over and over, you will improve, as the questions are very very similar!! My scores went like 25 27 29 31 33 34 and then I got a 35 on the real thing, so there's hope... all you have to do is practice!
so ... yes it's possible, especially with your other scores indicating you're very intelligent.

Edit: Grammar :)

just learn your grammar rules for the english section :P nothing to it other than that. ^_^

I did MUCH better on the ACT.

I got a 1670 on the SAT, and the 28 on the ACT, which is equivalent to an 1850 SAT.

ACT ftw.

ACT for life

ACT are for more well-rounded people whereas SAT is 2/3's english-related stuff

honestly though, invest in a tutor or a class, like a professional one. kinda expensive but youd be surprise how much it helps

friend went from 29 to 35
