ACT, what do collges look at?

<p>I looked at the common data sets for the colleges I've applied to, and they only posted information for the composite, english, and math sections. Does this mean that they only consider scores from those categories? </p>

<p>I'm wondering because I did pretty poorly on my english and science sections, though I was hoping that my writing section would help. </p>

<p>I got a 25 Composite: 31 English, 27 Math, 22 Reading, 19 Science, and 11 on the essay (31 combined writing/english).</p>
