Has any one taken the ACT and the SAT? If so, which one did you think was harder and what did you score on them?

I thought the SAT was a little easier. 33 ACT vs. 2280 SAT.

I liked the ACT more because it was something I could more easily study for.

I gotta cram ACT these next 2 weeks - what is everyone's study plan?

2370 SAT vs. 34 ACT (32 composite w/ writing). Personally, I'm so much more used to the SAT format, but I think that if you can get used to it, the ACT would be a better test. The only thing is that the ACT has a much harsher time limit and less breaks (5 hours is pretty rough too).

The ACT is 5 hours?

ACT is more breadth of knowledge, SAT is more reasoning
I like em both

34 ACT
2300 SAT

I thought the SAT was easier but I scored higher on the ACT. 35 ACT vs 2180 new SAT/1510 old.

Take both and see which one you like better yourself.

I like the SAT better
30 ACT- 2180 SAT

act is much easier
better curve too cause stupid people take it

34act/2340sat

a 2340 is better than a 34 though

Does anyone know where I can find a chart that converts ACT scores to SAT scores?

30 vs. 1850

I f'ing love the ACT

actually Im saying this not really knowing what a 30 equates to..i just know its higher than a 1850

I did way better on the ACT. A lot of it is more comparable to what you learn in school than the SAT.

SAT/ACT comparison chart

littlebeach what did you score? what did you do to prepare for it? any tips for test day/prep? thx

31 act(1350-1400eq) vs 1350 (30/31) SAT. Took the act a month ago, sat last spring. I think the Act is the better test, and the SAT is easier because there is more time to complete. I wish the ACT penialized, guessing shouldnt be rewarded. The science section is nice because it helps those out who are not that good at reading/writing.

Prep was the night before, I looked at a few science questions, which were a lot easier and quicker to do than the ones on the actual test. Go fast in science, and also in reading.

I liked the ACT.

2090 SAT vs. 34 ACT

I thought the ACT was much better. People stress out about the science a lot, but if you can read charts and graphs well, then you'll be okay. I got a 2140 SAT, 35 ACT. I think my ACT was better in part because I got more sleep the night before.

Although my SAT score is a bit higher, I have to say I liked the ACT better. It was straightforward. None of the SAT math bull trying to trick you (35 v. 720). It was more about what you know, a lot less about taking a test. The only problem was the time constraints on Reading and Science. 40 problems in 35 minutes is tough, even though they are easier than the SAT. Overall I got a 2160 v. 31.
