Act

I currently have a 31 on the ACT and I applied EA. Would it benefit me to take the ACT again in December in case I get deferred (which will most likely happen)?

Yes. You can probably get in with a 31 anyway, I know several people with 30's who got in, but that's only if your grades are really solid and you have good ECs and what not. If you're borderline for regular, you should retake it.

i have great EC's and my grades are pretty stellar. (96.2 GPA) class rank is where im lacking though. Top 15%. My class is full of incredibly smart people.

Well everything is relative--admissions always says they look at an applicant in the context of their school. So if you go to a competitive school they will take that into account.

if you think that you can improve your score, then retake. You have nothing to lose but a few hours of sleep and $40.

yeah. i figure the 31 MIGHT get me in, but a 32 gives me a better chance. I know I can do it as I only have a 28 in math.
