I play violin and do a variety of different groups for the instrument such as school orchestra, pit orchestra, private lessons, and most significantly, a competitive youth orchestra at a conservatory. Should I list these all seperately? It feels kinda redundant, but at the same time I've been thoroughly involved in all of them.

Also, this year I began playing viola as well (in school orchestra) Is that something I should list too?

Do you have enough space to list all of them? If yes, then why not, but if not, maybe you can write “music- see additional info” using one activity space, then list all details related to your violin participation in the additional info section. This way you can also include information like, i.e. you’ve been first chair, you’re learning viola, etc.

I’ll see if I have enough space. Thanks!!! Does the additional info section have a character limit?

Yes, it definitely does. It’s giving me issues right now. Haha

Booo. why must they limit us. I mean I understand there should be some suggested word count so people don’t go totally overboard. but what is an extra sentence?

In addition, you should consider an arts supplement. Most colleges want a music resume with the recording you send in and that resume will have plenty of space for your music accomplishments.

I kinda let the music supplement go. I wish I spent more time on it before summer came because I’ve been mad busy with everything. Will colleges still take my passion for music seriously? I just don’t think I have time to prepare anything exceptional at this point.
