Does anyone know the median ACT scores for cornell's college of a&s, and ILR?-thanks.

Also....does anyone know if they look at highest composite or highest by subsection?

.............highest

highest what?

highest composite scores, all colleges do that, but remember they see your score report anway.

But the ACT folks send scores by individual test date. You can wait for the results and then decide which test date you want sent. This differs from the SAT in that the report is cumulative. All scores to date are reported and sent.

I did much better on ACT than SAT but still sent both results. I don't think it really hurts. I feel like once one of the 2 tests gets you past a cutoff, its up to your HS performance/activities to get you in.

should I bother taking the ACT if I have a pretty good SAT score?

Also, does anyone know if college admissions officers tend to prefer one test to another because I heard that the ACT is much easier than the SAT- so, wouldn't that mean that the SAT is a better indicator for admissions?

yeah, if do good on the SAT you might as well make your application solid by taking the ACT

I mainly took the ACT because writing scores didn't count for my year's SAT grades and writing was by far my highest. If you do the math my combined SAT is better than my ACT, but they didn't use the combined! I just ended up sending in my ACT's (if they would let me just send them in) to all of my colleges. Unlucky year to take those damn SAT's! We had to study a ton for writing, but it commonly wasn't even used!!!

does anyone know what the median ACT score for ILR is?-thanks.
