Additional Information (Stanford Specific)

I've heard that Stanford (among other schools) will NOT read the Additional Information section of the Common app, is this true? If this is the case, then how should I include my noteworthy EC's (I've already filled up the Activities page)? Should I attach a resume? Will the school's read this or disregard it as well?

Also, I spent a year abroad in China doing the following activities ALL YEAR in addition to school:

I Taught English to 60 4th graders at Migrant School in Beijing Slum weekly (60+ hrs)
I took care of orphans who have undergone surgery for conditions such as cleft pallet weekly (55 hrs).
Wrote a 10 page research paper on the Migrant Phenomenom in Beijing, includes original research from interviews with workers, college professors, and the highest ranking police officer of Haidian District in Beijing. To be published along with other students research.

These are not "prinicipal activities", but can they still be included in the activities section?

wow, I did not know that Stanford didn't read Additional Info. I was planning to put my resume in there. Not a huge deal, but big enough to impact my chances if this is the case :o

if your activities section is not already filled up, I assume it would be fine to include this. it is extra curricular, and you did spend a lot of time on it.

You got it completely wrong. Stanford does read the additional info section. It does NOT read added resumes and such.
