Additional letters of Rec

Sorry, this is probably a silly question, but where do we submit additional letters of recommendation for the CommonApp? I'm applying ED to Penn and I don't see any place on the CommonApp or the supplement for an additional letter of recommendation. (note, the letter is not from a teacher or school official so I think that takes the "School Forms" section out of consideration) Do i have to submit a hard copy even though it says not to mix and match between electronic and mail?

Thanks in advance.

bump…
answer please? =)

I have the same issue, especially since some colleges like Northwestern will only let you attach one rec with the commonapp.

I’m having an academic coach write one, so I printed out the commonapp teacher recommendation form and gave it to him to send via mail. I just told him to mention he was writing as a coach.

Dunno for sure.

most colleges will accept additional letters of recommendation mail directly to them. I do not think Common App has a spot for uploading additional letters of rec.

Basically additional letters of rec fall under the “supplementary material” category. You just have to make sure the writer identifies himself to you and includes your full name and birth-date so that the college can correctly file the letter.
