2 days ago I applied to Wes RD. Because I didn't realize Wes suggests having recommendations in english/history and science/math, I asked my bio teacher for the recommendation kind of late. At the time, I wasn't sure if she would be able to get it in on time, so on the Common App site I added my previous 2 recommendations along with hers (which at the time was incomplete). She turned it in yesterday late-ish, so now I have 3 recommendations that were sent to Wes. One that's been filled out since October for my ED school is great, but I haven't seen the other one (though I'm sure it isn't bad). Should I have them disregard one of the other recs or just leave it be?

Hey I don’t know how helpful it will be but last year before I applied I went to an information session and I was told that if a third rec doesn’t significantly add something to your application, to not send it because its just more for the admissions officers to read. However, if you already sent it, I’m sure it won’t be a problem. Anyone can correct me if I’m wrong though.
Don’t worry about late letters too. The one from my math teacher got lost in the mail and I had to have him resend it like a week later. And I’m happily now at Wes :)

I had nearly the same situation, and I just ended up having all three sent. I can’t imagine they would penalize anyone for that, especially since they’re one of the only schools with a history/english and science/math recommendation requirement.
