I have my USC interview in Chicago in a week and I was wondering what things I should know, what kind of questions do they ask? What should I wear? A suit and tie, a dress shirt and tie, just a dress shirt, a dress shirt, tie, and sweater vest? Which one? I'm pretty worried right now, so please help me do well on this interview guys!

Well, that would certainly get you noticed! :)

If you have a suit that fits you well, wear it. If not, any of your other combos that include a tie would be fine (assuming PANTS are included of course).

My advice for the interview is to 1) stick to the positive - don’t spend any time “explaining” or making excuses for grades or test scores, 2) Be ready to state why you are interested in USC (saying, "

Thank you! I will try to figure out a question to ask.

It is admissions.

Find USC Facebook page and scroll their posts. See Noble prize winner, Hillary Clinton on campus, biggest % of international students than any other school… You don’t need to give them a laundry list of what you know but it could help conversation flow easier.

Be comfortable, neat & dressed up that fits you. I saw a girl interview in a Hello Kitty Dress & boots and a Brooks Bros suit waiting for his interview with a boy in flip-flops & wet hair. So they see it all!

An Any Questions? answer: " No, I think when someone is as serious as I am about USC most of my questions should have been resolved by now". Result, a USC Freshman:) Contrived questions won’t help. Be yourself!

^ depending on delivery, that could come off as half smug, half not personable (why so serious?).
Definitely look nice.
In my interview we talked about football for a minute because I said I’m not huge into sports but started watching USC since I applied.
If nothing else, ask him/her what’s one thing they really enjoy about working at USC.

Georgia Girl, my bad. Typo.

There is nothing better than information straight from the source. The USC admissions staff posted about the interviews back in October. Two excerpts pertinent to the opening questions:
