Admission contact over break - URGENT!

The office is closed until the 3rd, yes and the deadline has been moved to the 4th. But will they respond to email if i send it right now? I mean, whats the point of extendingn the deadline to answer questions if there is no way of getting in touch with the admissions ppl...

Anbody knows?

My rep always responded very very promptly. Sometimes they even have assistant secretaries who are available to answer questions. Just try and see, the sooner the better.

how do you know who ur rep is? is the right person to call on the website?

<a href="http://www.yale.edu/admit/contact/index.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.yale.edu/admit/contact/index.html</a></p>

You might try to ask the question here (if it is appropriate). This is a good place to come to when trying to ask questions without flooding the adcoms with e-mails.

does the rep for me read my application? Or is the rep for me my application reader?

when I submitted by yale application on christmas, the website told me that my application had been printed by the admissions office on the 26th of december. Either they have an electronic auto-print thing or some people were working the day after christmas. maybe theres a chance of someone lingering around...

no luck, i called and "the offices are closed for the holidays"....

would the admission reps still answer email?

try and see, darling.

jopageri, the Yale website says: "We anticipate that it will take us quite some time after January 3 to respond to the electronic mail messages that are sent while we are closed" so sorry, I don't think they'll respond. And the point of extending the deadline was so that they can spend Jan 3rd & 4th responding to emails and last-minute questions, I think.

However, there are plenty of other options. You can also try calling on the 3rd or 4th- they've always been very prompt to answer the phone, in my experience (I usually call the main desk). And like Nickleby said, ask around here. g'luck.
