Admission for Transfer Student

“slow-ass admission decisions”

I will second that.

This is what I get:

http://f.imagehost.org/0708/Untitled_10.jpg

When I click on “you have unaccepted aid,” I can open my award letter. It’s a PDF file.

How did you get aid in the first place?

I filled out the FAFSA.

mine said incomplete requirement, Admissions Status - Document Requested
Your admissions status does not allow us to offer you financial aid at this time. Please check the admissions website https://applicant.tamu.edu for more information about your application status.

soooooooooooooo longgggggggggggggggggggggggg…

Hmm that odd that you got aid already. Yeah I would bet that you have probley been admitted already. I still got $0. But, I doubt Im going to get any aid at all lol…

“Reason: Dude thats weird, you posted at the same time as I did.”
haha

Man, I hope I got in.

I think I know what it is…If you complete the student data form that you see in the Documents Tab in APPLICANT page at the Howdy Portal, it might update your info and show you your Financial Aid. It asks you about your summer supplement and how many ours you plan to take and stuff. That form, and my Military record are the only things that I need before it is complete.

mcalvellox did you complete that form im talking about?

No but it says the form is optional.

Does your page say:

“Complete Requirements
You are in good academic standing.
We have received your application for financial aid.”

?

yeah…everything except “Complete Requirements”

So I gotta thank you guys for the past month because I’ve been keeping tabs on the admissions process through you guys since like the rest of you…I am on step 3. but I have a few questions for anybody to answer that might help kill the time.

I applied as an aero engineer but I have decided I would rather go into biomedical engineering. Since they don’t take Ap credits I dont have half the CBK’s needed, assuming I get accepted, would I be able to finish the CBK’s over the summer at a community college (lone star in the woodlands) and change into biomed?

Finally on step 4!!
Anyone else?

Nope. What else does it say???

Does it tell you thier decision?

I was probably moved to step 4 cause I applied to Liberal Arts.
I’m sure other departments take longer to review apps.

it says:

“A decision for this applications was mailed on 4/28/09.”

Sweet!!! The others should not take too much longer. Good luck!

By the way, I knew some decisions were going to be sent out this week. LOL

Good luck to everyone!
Get the beers ready!!

I’m glad to hear that mcalvelloxx! I hope everyone else hears soon! I applied to Biology, so I’ll post here when I’ll be on Step 4.

I applied to Liberal Arts also but still on Step 3. :(

mitch8002, can you see your financial aid package in the Howdy site?

This is what mine says:

MyFinancialAid Student Portal

Application: Recevied
Total Aid: $0.00
Status:Good

I’ve never got financial aid, so that $0.00 sounds right.

You will probably be moved to step 4 today…
