Are you still going to take summer classes at A&M if you get in? All I need is ENGR 112 and I would have completed my CBK so I can start upperlevel courses. Unfortunantly, there is no time this summer for me to take ENGR 112… I wonder what I will do since I only have 3 courses to take next semester if I cant get into upperlevel right away. (Calc III, ENGR 112, Intro to electrical engineering)

yeah i have to go in the summer to complete eng 111 and 112 otherwise there is nothing else i can take in the fall besides a math class. If eng 112 is almost full too its gonna suck if it fills up before i know if i’m accepted? were are you going to go if your not accepted to a&m?

Sending my spring grades to UT lol… I wouldn’t worry about the class filling. I really want to take ENGR 112 over the summer… too bad I won’t be done with my “C” language equivilent for ENGR 111 before june.

You applied to UT too? Acceptance upon further review of spring grades? where would you rather go?

has anybody that has gotten accepted applied for financial aid and qualified for aggie assurance? where a&m pays for your tuition

Nope. I would rather goto A&M. Are they waiting for your spring grades?

I want Aggie Assurance!!
How do we go about it? I guess they just offer it to you?
I saw my financial aid package and it sucks!

Aggie assurance is for people who are still dependents of their parents, and if their parents make below a designated amount, they get their tuition paid for by the university. I only say tuition b/c they do not pay for housing and meal plans.

I think it was only if your parents make below 60,000. The amount of money you get from Aggie Assurance depends on the rest of your financial aid package.

My dad makes less than $60.000…for sure but my EFC is 3700.

that means you gotta pay $3700 out of pocket

Yeah and the best part is that my dad is not paying for anything…

ouch!!! no helps from the family eh?

Has anyone called recently and asked when decisions would be mailed out (specifically for Mays maybe)?

Also, does anyone know if it’s okay to accept admission to a university and later change your mind?

it’s okay to accept admission…but i think you have to pay a fee of around $200 to prove you are serious about it. of course if you don’t go you will loose the deposit

Oh crap when I try to register for the new student conference, it says:

“The deadline to register for your New Student Conference has passed.”

Did anyone register already?

mcalvelloxx: did you get a ticket on I-35 for going 70 on 60? because I do that sometimes on I-35 but i don’t know if they really give tickets for that. and I am new to this site and I got accepted to UT but still waiting from A&M. I don’t think I will get into A&M because of my screw up on major selections. but i’m trying to get into business school so UT would be a better choice for me. and i see that you got accepted to UT and A&M. which one are you going to and what is your major?

Yeah dude I registered the morning I found out…it fills up quick so you have to do it fast…I had to call the prospective student center and register through them. My conference is on May 25th. Also, you have to take you math asessment test 24 hours before you get there.

Why a math asessment? What if you took Calc I and II?

I still can’t register.
Are registrations closed?

I hope I’m not screwed…

meg52: I got the ticket going 70 on Highway 71. I’m going to fight it because I was keeping up with traffic.
I’m still trying to decide between Texas and A&M but for now, I’m leaning more towards A&M. My major is Economics
but I might transfer to MIS at Mays…
