Admission letters arriving today in SoCal

In keeping with announcement that packets were mailed by USC yesterday, S#1 & S#2 received admission letters today. (We live in LA-area) Both admitted to BA in School of Theatre, which is the program that allows for MT Minor if desired.

I was admitted to the BA as well!! Didn’t audition for the BFA Acting because I want to focus on Musical Theatre. SO excited! Congrats!

Admitted to BA theatre as well- I did audition for the BFA and then realized when I was there that BA was better!! YAY for BA’s!

WOO! I was actually expecting a rejection…this is a nice surprise!! I know the School of Theatre is very well-respected, not to mention that it’s a great school in general! Plus, it’s the most gorgeous campus I’ve ever seen! Now, there’s financial aid to worry about…haha!

S admitted to BFA Acting today!

D admitted to BFA Acting. Would do the MT minor.

Congrats everyone!! MrsDrz - the BFA Acting program does not allow students to do the MT minor. They must do the BA in Theatre if they want to fit MT into their schedule.

Thanks for the info. We must have gotten some bad information, but I swear a girl from my D’s school who is a BFA sophomore there is doing just that. Hmmm, I’ll have to talk with the mom. D would definitely NOT do a program where she couldn’t minor in MT. Hopefully she could switch to the BA if that were the case.

I’m with your D on that - that’s why a lot of us didn’t audition for the BFA =) And hmm…I got my info from the School of Theatre and current students. Perhaps it IS possible to do MT with the BFA, but it would probably take at least 5 or 6 years. And I’ve heard of many students transferring into the BA from the BFA, so I’m sure it wouldn’t be a problem!
