A little off topic because this is a MT board, but does anyone know much about USC’s program? I haven’t heard back from them yet, anyone else apply there?

My son's friend has been accepted- If you had been rejected , you would have heard by now, b/c first he got the rejection letter- not a waitlist letter. Then 4 days later he got an acceptance. USC said they are not allowed to have a waiting list - so its either in or out!!!

This one you'll have to decide for yourself. I know a few students there, (BA and BFA program for acting). Some are happy and some are not, so it entirely depends on the person.

My D auditioned there and she hasn't heard anything either. We're expecting the letter today or tomorrow. Supposedly the remainder of the decisions were mailed out Friday.

From what I hear, the BFA program is excellent, and very, very highly esteemed. Although my brother is a business major there and I live in L.A., I've yet to see any of their work. I do know that they just recently started a relationship with Center Theatre Group to allow students to be in the shows there, which is great. It's very well-connected, being in the heart of the film industry, but the theatrical training is supposedly first-rate as well.

I auditioned for the theater department the end of january 2009 does anyone know when the decision letters will arrive?

From this old thread it looks like the 2006 decisions came out early April.

They follow the standard April 1 notification deadline so look for something right after that date.

They have a Theatre Open House in early April (I want to say around the 11th) that is geared toward accepted students to learn more about the program -- both BFA and BA students -- so I would assume notifications would be out before then.

Hi my d is a freshman at USC in the BFA program. She heard March 7th. A few others heard that early as well - most others had heard by the 3rd week in March. If anyone wants to pm me please fell free.
