My daughter received her acceptance letter today. She is OOS, 3.5 GPA, and 1920 SAT.
I got accepted yesterday. I’m OOS and have a 3.5 UW/ 3.8 W gpa and a 27 ACT score.
Accepted! Got my letter today in the mail, U of SC only releases decisions through the postal service. Applied Oct. 13th, but my SAT scores weren’t delivered until October 16th so I’m not sure if I ended up being counted in the early answer pool or not.
GPA: 3.7 (4.0 scale)
SAT: 1880
ACT: 26
Essay: pretty good
OOS: PA
Does anyone know when we’ll hear about scholarship money? They gave my sister a full ride with slightly higher stats so I’m hoping they’ll at least give me something.
A full ride with slightly better stats than yours??? Did she get the McNair??? Usually the McNair is at least a 34 ACT and at least a 4.0.
We are still waiting for a decision for my son. He has a 3.65 weighted GPA with an 1810 SAT and 26 ACT. Hopefully they are sending more letters soon. We are OOS and applied early October.
I submitted my honors application on 11/15 and got my acceptance letter into the regular college on 11/20. I’m assuming I’ll get the honors decision later in December. When do they give out scholarship information? I saw people with lower stats than mine getting in state tuition so I think I would get something but idk.
Final money offers are in March. Honors letters might mention money but even those come out gradually through sometime in February.
Sent in my application for honors Nov. 15th. I hope I’ll hear within a few days.
any update on when decisions will be sent?
If they do the notifications like they did 2 years ago when my D applied, they will come out randomly in batches usually based on when they received all of the information and the strength of the application.
My friend got his letter either early this week or late last week. He submitted it Nov. 13th.

If I remember correctly from 2 years ago when my daughter applied, we should be hearing by the 15th as long as we made the 10/15 or 11/15 (Honors) deadline. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the snail mail. For me, that is usually 1-2 days later than everyone else. Good luck to everyone! My D is a sophomore and loves the school!
My son got his “letter” today…delayed. Anyone know how often kids come off the “delayed” list, if at all?
