Admission Results

@speedsolver Great, thanks!

I live only 20 minutes from seattle, no letter in todays mail. Kind of worried but guess its better than a rejection…

captainkrtek: Admissions doesn’t really seem to have an exact plan for when to print and mail certain letters (or it’s the post office sifting through batches of them!), but I’ve had friends who literally lived next to UW or in the Wallingford/Ravena area who didn’t hear back until the very end of March (acceptances). Best of luck!

@Speedsolver, yea it’s a mess. Kind of disappointed that UW being a modern school doesn’t have information about your application online. It is 2013, every school but UW has online information for me haha. Also concerned about the unofficial transcript, seeing a few posts above mentioning theirs now loads but no letter…

I’m in pretty much the same situation, so that makes me feel a lot better ahah! Thanks for the info!

Can somebody help explain to me how I can see my transcript? I got my acceptance letter saturday but I’ve been logging onto myUW and I do not see anything regarding my transcript.

The main page just says: Thank you for applying to the University of Washington! Because you have submitted an application for admission to one or more UW campuses and/or undergraduate programs, some information about your application and other services are now available to you through this MyUW portal.

I don’t see anything regarding my transcripts, and people say that when you’re transcript loads, that means you’ve been accepted. It worries me.

@uwdreamer I would not worry if you got an acceptance letter.

I’m wondering if anyone has been able to access their financial aid information. I’m not able to yet.

I don’t know. I just know in the past couple of years, due to the influx of applicants, colleges have mistakenly sent out acceptance letters to the wrong students, students who were supposed to be rejected. I’m just really scared that is happening with me. My dream school is uw, hence my name, and I just want everything to go smoothly. Just wondering if there others just like me out there who’ve received their letters but transcripts not loaded.

No, you’re fine. I received my letter yesterday but my transcript just came online today.

@manmadeofbacon what does your transcript say?

@swishbig The first part shows my name, student number, class, college, and major. Strangely it shows my major as “pre-science,” whatever that is and my college as “arts and sciences.” I selected psychology as my major of interest on my application, but never declared it officially yet, obviously.

Then it shows my high school subject info about credits which is even weirder. Like, it says I have 5 years of English done (?!) yet 3 years of math and 1 year of art. I took/am taking 4 years of math and english and 3 years of art in HS.

Then it shows me a credit summary for UW and my UW gpa which both are irrelevant at this point (0.00 for each).

Okay mine looks just like yours. My college is also Arts and Sciences and my major is Pre-Sciences but what’s weird is that I put computer science as my first major of interest and psychology as my second…I don’t think computer science falls under Arts and Sciences.

Yeah, they must just put everyone under that college or major until it’s officially declared or something.

manmadeofbacon: The HS stuff is weird. Don’t worry about it unless it states there’s a deficit. For example, mine says:

HIGH SCHOOL SUBJECTS:
SUBJECT YRS COMPLETED/YRS DEFICIENT
ENGLISH 4/0
MATHEMATICS 3/0
SCIENCE 4/0
SOCIAL SCIENCE 5/0
FOREIGN LANGUAGE 3/0
ART 1/0

HIGH SCHOOL FOREIGN LANGUAGE :SPANSH LEVEL:3
HIGH SCHOOL MATHEMATICS LEVEL: 5

Swishbig: Computer Science is under the College of Arts and Sciences. Computer Engineering is in the College of Engineering.

@speedsolver ^i have the high school stuff too but i haven’t received my letter

You should be in, though nothing is ‘for sure’ until you have that letter in your hands. :)

I’m an international student, didn’t receive a decision email yet but my unofficial transcript just loaded. I don’t know what this means but i’m guessing it’s a good sign.

I feel like if the transcript loaded you are most likely in since they assigned you an ID number…? right??

i applied for business and i’m in the A&S?!?!?! is that normal?

@arizona yeah they assigned me a student ID number. so i guess i’m halfway in but i don’t wanna get my hopes up just so i wouldn’t be disappointed
