Admission revoke?

Ok, I was about to submit my SIR and just found out UCSD require "B" average grade for two English classes.
The thing is that I got a B from my first Engl and B or C(most likely) from second Engl class.
So, I called UCSD and talked to someone in the admission office, and unfortunately, she said my admission will be revoked if I get a C from second Engl class.
Do you guys think it is 'firm' no? I will submit my SIR tomorrow anyway though.

And I will send my appeal letter to UCLA tomorrow.
I don't think it's going to happen but, just in case if they accept my appeal, can I still go to UCLA even though I already submitted SIR to UCSD?

I feel my life is so ruined.

If they say you need a B average, then thats what they mean. So yes, you'll probably have your admission revoked. Yeah its harsh, but thats how it is.

Your life isn't ruined bro. I understand that being accepted to a school and then having your admission taken away would SUCK but if it comes to that, just work your ass off next year and re apply because who knows, maybe you'll get even into UCLA next year (even though I see no reason for anyone to bRuin their life, lol.)

I hope it doesn't come to that though. Good luck.

Just get in touch with them, and work out a solution. Don't sit idly by and let them take your admission, fight it.

wow... so this is real... I heard my friends at smc talking about how ucsd wouldnt accept students with C in their English class. I thought that's just a bunch of bs at first but now I think it might be true. Two international students at my cc have high gpa (around 3.85) and got accepted to ucla but not ucsd. They called ucsd and found out that the only reason they got rejected is because of that 1 C in the English class. What's wrong with ucsd?

Where does it say that you need B's in both English classes? The contract states that you must have at least a 2.0 during the Spring term and an overall gpa of 2.8 after the Spring.

It is not true that UCSD won't accept a transfer student because of a "C" in one of the two core English classes. I have a "C" in my Composition and an "A" in my Critical Thinking and I got accepted to UCSD. However, I decided to turned down their admission offer.

I said, "B 'AVERAGE' grade for two 'ENGLISH' classes."

Actually, I also took another 5 units composition class which is designed for international stidents and that is transferable to UC. If they count that course, my average English grade will be higher than B. Although I'm not sure they will count or not.

Hey, rnj, let us know how it turns out, I'm super curious now!

did you submit 2 SIR?

I only submit 1 sir (UCSD), and Rogue, I'll let you know if anything comes up .
