Admission Stats

So, does anyone know the percentage that GW admitted, and how many for each school?

The acceptance letter said they got over 20,000 applications. Yikes. Still, that's not as bad as BC, who got 24,000. I would hate to be an admissions officer.

Acceptance rate is less than 40% not sure the exact number

Over 20,000? Wow. Were those the exact words? I got accepted ED 1 and they only wrote "admissions was especially competitive this year."

20,000 is what mine says as well.

It says over 20,000 applicants and only 2,400 acceptances.

no, 20,000 applicants and 2,400 slots.

geezus christ!

If we use the numbers they provided us, which are presumably a bit rounded, I figure that the overall acceptance rate was about 35%. I used the number (34%) that appears at Princeton's Review with regard to the percent of accepted students who enroll.

2400*(100/34) = ~7059
7059/20,000 = 35.3%

Also according to Princeton Review, last year's acceptance rate was 38%.

ms. thang - you need to grow up, accept the fact that someone rejected you, and move on. with your attitude, gwu is better off with you attending another institution.
