I’m currently a senior in high school and I’ve been accepted into Michigan state university with a 28 ACT, 3.7 unweighted gap, and 4.1 weighted gap. My school is on the trimester system. Through the first two trimesters I received all A’s and one B+. I want to drop out of honors Hispanics perspectives but I do not know how my admission decision will be affected. Does anyone here know more about this than I do.
I meant GPA not GAP
If you want to change your schedule to be different from what you previously reported, you should ask/inform the college now about it, rather than surprise them on your final high school transcript.
Just email your admissions officer. It is unlikely they will have a problem with it, as it is not a core class.
Talk to your GC and the Michigan State. Come clean. Do it asap. It shouldn’t hurt unless it’s a required class or you’re dropping because you have a low grade (unless your GC okay’s you dropping it with the understanding that your gpa won’t be affected).
It is not a core course so it should not affect your offer of admission. But, rather than lose sleep over this, why not contact Michigan State University admissions or, better yet, your school guidance counselor ?
I did talk with my admissions officer over the phone and she said that MSU does not approve nor disapprove scheduale changes.
And my school counselor said he’d allow the change but it doesn’t mean much coming from him because he doesn’t seem to care much about me or my scheduale lmao
I should also mention my one b+ was In this class
And that this class is considered a “Spanish class”
I think you really have to mess up to have an offer recinded.
I would just drop a non-core class if you hate it.
As long as you graduate and have decent grades, I doubt any college would recind.
