Is the admissions counselor listed on the website the only person that reads your Vanderbilt application or do multiple counselors read it? Thanks, this answer should be somewhat simple. I'm assuming only the one admissions counselor reads it, but I could be wrong.

Go to Vanderbilt admissions blog…and read backwards…there are about ten pages of blog entries that will help you get an idea of how things are done…obviously many more qualified students who are deserving than seats.

You may be one of the deserving but even so…open your eyes to schools that are sure bets and make sure you have a very fine safety college no matter who you are.

It is very unlikely that one person can sink you application in any college…

best wishes and if you want to be a Dore…hope you things go your way

other peer colleges also have great blogs…Hopkins, UVA etc…there is a very detailed three part series in the Duke Chronicle on their overwhelmed admissions process.

Seek out a Vandy alum interview and if anything unusual comes your way in February…update you applications with a brief memo to your admissions counselor
