Admissions Decisions Class of 2020

@ohiovalley16 me!

Is there anybody else still waiting on an acceptance that would be scholarship-eligible if admitted?

@Marakov29 I’m still waiting… I have a 32 ACT and a 91 GPA. My school does not rank, which I was told wouldn’t be a problem.

Still waiting…

@Marakov29 yeah :((
Really worried at this point.
35 ACT, rank 4 out of 371, GPA 4.49, national merit, lots of impressive ECs :confused:

Head-scratcher. Still waiting. Only one of 9 EA applications with no decision yet.

4.0 UW, 33 ACT, OOS.

Admitted on Friday.
3.7 W, 33 ACT, from California

For those who got admitted, did you apply Early Action or RD (after Nov.1)?

@ohiovalley16 - “only one of 9 EA applications with no decision yet.” Hyperbole or serious? Did I miss something about all but 9 EA applications being left?

We’re STILL waiting on EA decision as well; applied 10/31, Arts & Sciences. I know my son isn’t even bothering to begin his essay for the Eminence Scholarship application until he get an acceptance in hand. He has 2 different Varsity sport letters (all years), expected school level EC’s, state level leadership, national level research.

It was brought up before, but I’m really wondering now if there is a connection to slow/later EA decisions for those applicants who applied to both Honors AND Morrill (not just one of the 2).
Has anyone who applied to BOTH received a decision yet? If so, IS or OOS?

jumbletumbles - my D applied EA and did to honors and Morrill, she just heard back that she was admitted on Friday but no letter yet. She is in state.

Yes. I applied EA to both, and received my acceptance on Friday. Not sure that I can even be in the honors college if I was placed in the undecided program but oh well lol.

@jumbletumbles no hyperbole whatsoever. I don’t do that on CC. Think we might have had an “Eats Shoots and Leaves” moment.

D has 9 EA applications submitted (or RA during the EA time frame), latest went in Nov 5.

8 acceptances, Honors at 5, tOSU still showing Evaluation. tOSU app date was 10/28. Applied to Honors but not Morrill or Eminence.

Oh, and our school doesn’t do class rank either.

@ohiovalley16 Thank you for explaining. I was really scratching my head because, apparently, I misunderstood your meaning! I thought you’d meant that OSU had 9 EA applications left to review & that your D was 1 of those! Hahaha! Guess I might as well spike the eggnog now since my capacity to think now is already low… :stuck_out_tongue:

I applied to both Morrill and Honors and was accepted Friday as well. I am also an instate resident.

Anyone hear when the next big wave of decisions will be released?

Has anyone heard from scholars yet? If I get in this will really influence my decision a lot!

@KatieRose

I just received my admission to the honors college, and I assume they are releasing honors and scholars decisions at the same time, but I may be wrong.

Good luck!
