I just got an email late tonight with acceptance into honors program.

Got into the Honors Program last night! I think I am committing to OSU today  Can anyone with experience with the Honors Program tell me a little more about it?

Are they releasing decisions on weekdays?
And when will the last decision roll out this year?

For those of you who were accepted into the Honors program, when were you accepted and what are your stats? Thanks! And congrats!!!

GPA 34 applied on 10/31

@miller8912451
I was accepted to OSU about 3 weeks ago (not sure about exact day my portal was updated). I was accepted into honors yesterday evening. ACT 34, GPA 4.37W, 3.89UW

Has anyone who applied AFTER the Early Action date of Nov. 1 gotten a decision?

Accepted! Ohio applicant with 32 ACT, 4.2 weighted GPA

Received Maximus Scholarship

Hopefully will get into honors program, but haven’t heard back yet

@firsty I doubt it, they’ve still got thousands of early applications to sift through

Dont know if its true, but supposedly kids that did RD have heard back. My childs ACT scores were delayed though not our fault, but the app wasnt even in evaluation status until mid november. I assume we wont hear back until mid Januaury :frowning:

Son was admitted to OSU in November the first week admission came out. He was notified about his scholarship (Maximus) a little over a week ago, and was notified last night that he was admitted to the Honors program. His major is computer science. ACT 34, SAT II subjects tests 750 (Math 2 and Chem) and 710 Physics, 4.0 UW GPA. He has 10 AP classes as well. I wonder if those who received their admissions earlier are hearing about Honors first?

@BlessedMom3 I got admitted the first week admissions came out as well, but I didn’t get any notifications of scholarship or the honors program… did they send the notifications for honors and scholarships via e-mail or snail mail?

should I be worried if I still haven’t heard back?

@jason922 he received the scholarship information via snail mail. The honors notification came via e-mail. There might not be a correlation between acceptance date and honors notification. I just thought it was odd that he was in the first batch of admission notifications and honors notifications.

@VaishS I can’t imagine you will not be accepted with your stats. Perhaps you could give them a call and see where they are in the admissions process. You might also want to make sure your application is complete (make certain they received test scores). I imagine they are still processing many applications.

@BlessedMom3 Yeah, Im not worried about the acceptance its more the $$$ and honors which both have limited space. I did call them just yesterday and she said that my app was complete and that she had no info for me since they just haven’t looked at my app yet. She said that as long as l get it by mid-Jan there is nothing for me to worry about

My son was just admitted into the scholars program. He was accepted on Dec. 4th. Notice was sent via his buckeye webmail.

Just got the email telling me I got accepted into the scholars program too.

The notification of honors / scholars / scholarships is probably correlated to the acceptance date because I don’t think they consider anyone until they are admitted to the Columbus campus, then their application is forwarded to the honors, scholars, Morrill, etc. offices. So the first applicants accepted are the first ones being seen by those making decisions on further awards.
