I have just started looking at schools and want to know if anyone can answer some of my questions.
*Are there any good schools that offer enough financial aid to make it affordable to a "middle class" family?
* Do you need to do an on campus interview to apply?
*Are there any good schools not in the northeast?
Just wondering. if you have any other advice I would love to hear it :)

These are good questions. Suggest you use the “search” function to find some posts and threads that may be informative, and welcome to CC.
- Many schools offer financial aid to families with incomes under 75K (several offer full aid), above that aid is adjusted
- There are good schools outside NE (Thacher, Cate, etc) try boardingschoolreview.com
- Interviews can be Skyped if you live far away, but visiting the schools is highly recommended. Deerfield requires an interview if you live within 350 miles.

There are many aid opportunities through a variety of merit and need-based options that the schools award. Some are even moving towards being “need-blind” in their admissions practices. 2prepMom’s advice seems right on! A lot of times, schools will have traveling interviewers that can come to hard-to-reach locations as well.

Thank You guys so much ! :)
