password - my school is the same, my counselor included my first 6-week grades in with the package from school and Cornell has not contacted her or me for anything else

does anyone else think that maybe only people who are (already) accepted are asked to send in recent grades?

i am sorry but i really hope thats not true....
also, some1 on this forum said that maybe only the people who are borderline were asked...if it were up to me every EDer would get accepted(specially the ones on CC)

Wait a minute, we are all freaking out over nothing. Read the posts, nobody here has been asked for their grades yet...the only source is rollercoaster saying that engineering kids have to send them in (which means the borderline/already in thing is irrelevant). We are all paranoid, me included of course.

well if that is the case, than it could be construed as you are either in or borderline. I would lean towards borderline b/c they could just wait for your midyear report if you were in.

because of our school system everyone in differential equation will have an "INCOMPLETE" for 1st quarter..........and i got a C in spanish (only 4 people in the class had an A and B's and C's were majority). that gave me a GPA of 2.5+

i really don't know what to do now. are they going to call us so we have a chance to explain or are they just going to ask our guidance counselor?

btw im applying to the school of engineering.

my guidance counselor told me yesterday that cornell called and simply asked for any updated information on me, so she sent my first quarter grades because they were good as well as two new officer positions I've gotten since I sent the app, but not before asking me if I wanter her to do that. so im thinking they ask all their ed applicants that but its not just grades and it may not be mandatory?

AND i really don't think it has anything to do with being borderline or not... my guidance counselor said they said updated information not just grades.

My guidance couselor said they asked for first quarter grades - college of engineering. Trying not to read into it and hoping it doesn't mean I'm borderline and that it's just a requirement for engineering.

mmm. so did any hotelies get asked for grades? okay, even worse, I had an F on my first six week cause I had just transferred into that class so all my assignments were 0s. And now I have a C- in Calc. And what's worse is we have two guidance couselors, but our assitant principals write our recs and everything. so...i have no idea who they contacted, if they did contact us at all!

my history teacher screwed me over so badly. The ap class is a guaranteed A, but the moron decides to screw everyone over and gives out C-. Now I have a C- in a AP class. He will only give an A+ in January when the semester is over and its too late!

I checked with my son's guidance counselor today and he said no one had called to check on first quarter progress (applying CAS). It may be college specific, and also in cases where someone is borderline. Good thing too, my son's first quarter grades were nothing spectacular and he had to send them to one of his EA schools.
