I am confused, Michigan has now done away with the rolling admisssions effective when? I will be applying this fall..........and was planning on applying first thing under the rolling admissions, othewise it is only ed or regular? Bummer if thats the case.

Also I have heard that they don't include 9th grade grades, which is GREAT for me. I had a disastrous 9th grade year and thnakfully 10th and 11th were much better, with IBs this year and a full IB curriculum for my senior year. My sats are between 2000-2100. So.............that said what do you think my chances are applying for regular decision?

Does anyone know if they require only a SAT or ACT test or SAT 2's as well? Thank you!!

Michigan will be doing away with Rolling Admissions this fall.

They do not require SAT Subject Tests.

I think they reuquire all Grades of high school which would include 9th. Not very sure about the last.,

(A special note for current Juniors: Next year we will be moving to an 'Early' application process. What that means is that there will be a set deadline in the fall that you will need to have your application in by if you are applying for 'Early' consideration. If you are not admitted through the early process, you may still be deferred to regular admissions. We are working to finalize the new 'Early' deadline and will share it, along with other pertinent information regarding this new process, with you and your guidance counselors as soon as possible.)

i was told that michigan does NOT factor in 9th grade grades at my information session last summer.

they require them, but dont factor them in as your UM GPA when they recalculate it

any indication as to if it will be binding?

For the record, I was told by an admissions officer they do not consider nor calculate ninth grade grades period.

OBrienUM97, I was at a college fair today and I asked the representative there if they change their admissions, would there be any EA or ED. He said yes and if they do change (which it looks like they are going to do) that it will be non-binding.

ok, no SATII or Freshman Grades. No weighting for honors or APs. also, they prefer people to take the ACTs but the SATs are accepted (family friend is an admission officer).
