Admissions Records So Far

most definitely an early acceptance letter , but i'm goign to shush up about it for beachbum's sake. ;)

lololol....i dont mind rockett (this is weird, becuz i know your real name)...i'll just have wait for my letter to arrive like a good little boy :(

prepster05 is dead-on. the ethics of applying to additional colleges that you are likely to turn down anyway are very questionable. colleges are very sensitive to geographic distribution, as i'm sure most of us college-savvy people already know. i understand completely if it's a question of Yale v. Harvard, or Princeton v. Stanford, even a three-way situation. that's not a problem--in fact, it's the beauty of EA. however, not to hate on you justforgetme, but Georgetown...I don't think it would even cross your mind to take Georgetown over Harvard. I would've withdrawn to save the bother. it's a waste of everyone's resources, particularly the time of the admissions officers and including your own time and money (too rich to care about $65? go donate it somewhere), and in the end I fail to see how it benefits anyone, including you.

1/1 Dartmouth likely letter so far. waiting for 8 more

Justice-Georgetown is the one school that (in retrospect) I sort of wish I had withdrawn my app from after getting into Harvard. But as for the waste of time/money, my check was sent MONTHS before I found out from Harvard, and my application was sent a few weeks before.

As for my other apps, I have rather specific reasons for keeping each one which I could explain to you in PM or IM if you care (which you probably don't).

yeah i understand your situation completely. i was just making a general statement against multiple applications after highly-selective EA and using your Georgetown application as an example.

No prob Justice, I just felt like I had to defend myself since I got thrown into the mix. You should IM me anyway, I don't think we've talked since December.

LOL sempitern.
