so as many might know, i got accepted to UCSD.. the problem is the Admit Day falls on April 9th and I'm a bit busy and cannot make it.. is it absolutely necessary to go there or can i find this information online?
Like does this have anything to do with course registration and all that?

thankss

EDIT how does one go about creating a student organization?

Although I would highly recommend it for those who can go, if you can’t, it’s not necessary. I highly doubt they’ll tell you anything somebody on here couldn’t tell you.

I would recommend that you go if you can; I took the time to and it was actually what made me more excited about going to UCSD (I had already decided by then pretty much, but I just wanted to be sure).

It’s really not wise to submit your SIR without at least gauging how you feel on campus…that is, after all, what your life is going to revolve around for the next 4+ years. So if you can’t go to Admit Day try to visit soon when you’re free.

But if you can’t, there’s always CC or websites or youtube footage of whatever you want to see.

Oh yeah, you better at least visit the university once before you decide to come here. I definitely would not have gone anywhere I hadn’t visited.

@adl, okay, thanks. I was just worried if it would put me at some disadvantage, somehow.

@JeSuis, that would be cool, you should just post em up here so all those who missed out could see them I’m in Warren, yuppers. It would be so weird if we were in the same suite with KingsElite as our RA, haha.

Personally, I thought the pictures and everything I saw of UCSD were amazing, and was even more impressed when I visited. I would highly suggest trying to visit before you submit your SIR, though.

Oh (: I live in Norcal and I visited over the summer

UCSD was GREAT!
I absolutely loved it. I had a chance to tour campus with some UCSD student guides, and man, just stepping onto campus, right away it just felt GREAT. Like just walking around, I was thinking, this is definitely a school I could go to and love. You’ll love visiting!! it’s great! Maybe it’s just me and my fantasy of always wanting to live in So-Cal.

Tritons!! I’m really excited!

btw, UCLA smelled like cow manure. Literally. The entire visit I felt noxious.
