Are you bringing your parents?
I'm not, and I was wondering if I would be the only one.

when is the admit weekend?

yea..im bringing my mom and my 2 little siblings. however, they're gonna be touring SF while im at admit weekend. they're just gonna drop by for a day to see the campus.

yeah my parents aren't coming with me to admit weekend.

hey I have a question for everyone. I wanted to come to Stanford on April 27th (one day before admit weekend), but I'm not sure if Stanford would be able to accomodate me. I wanted to call them and ask, but there is no contact information on the admit website (admit.stanford.edu). what to do?

call them the admin office. i think i read somwhere that if you come a day early they can probably work something out for you.

So when exactly is admit weekend then? 28th through ?

28th through 30th

Ugh that's evil of them. Putting it till the end of April, so if you do get in and visit, you'll have to make up your mind where to go the day you leave.

Mine aren't coming. Too expensive! I actually got a travel waiver, which was really exciting. So, yes, my parents will be sending off that check without ever having seen Stanford. What time is everyone flying down? I'm getting there about noon to one on Thursday. Also, who knows about bus travel from Oakland?

did anyone already get their stanford e-mail address??

Ugh, same weekend as Harvard's admitted students.

thats presumptuous, lol

yeah i got my email

how did you set your e-mail up?? i can't figure it out.. i got that letter, but i dunno what to do.

My parents are coming either! Apparently it's not worth it for parents, as there's not much for them to do. I just hope i'll be able to find my way around. I think I'll leave either Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. Anyone from Florida going?

gah. way to change the meaning. aren't*

Quick note to admitted students: I went to Admit Weekend last year and absolutely loved it. If you still have lingering doubts, there's no better way to clear them up than the visit the campus, check out the people, and attend a few classes. Sniff I feel like I was a ProFro just a few months ago, and now I'm going to be a RoHo! (BTW: your first Stanford slang: ProFro = Prospective Freshman, RoHo = Room Host. Don't worry, it just gets worse).

Have fun for the remainder of high school -- it just gets better in college.

You guys who are going to Pro-Fro weekend have to tell us how it compares to the one described in this article: http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn?pagename=article&contentId=A10157-2004May8¬Found=true

wow..she was harsh...i'm sure it's not that bad

in response to that article... wow, what a bad weekend that seemed for her... i hope it isn't as bad as she says it was
